    Description

Great find an original vintage early 1930s lightly used film projector; 8mm; made by famous Bell and Howell Company. The model is a Filmo 400, Design 122; and should date from the early to mid-1930s. It comes in the original wood case; brown color that matches the projector. Has a beautiful gold shield logo on the front with the company name; Bell & Howell (see photo). Case measures:
12 inches wide by 14 3/4 inches high by 17 1/2 inch deep. The projector itself measures 13 inches high by 10 3/4 inches wide. Inside the case includes one 7” feed metal reel. Also, inside is a "Caution Label" attached to the lid warning about not over heating the film along with instructions of how to properly use projector and prevent damaging film. Additionally, there is the original brown owner's envelope with paperwork, original blue warranty card and string, etc. I am not a film projector expert. But, I have collected antiques for over 50 years. This projector appears to be an excellent condition for 90 years old. No visible damage, dents, broken parts (that I can tell), and very minor if any storage wear. Original metal manufacturing and model plate/tags (see photo). Even has an original old blue lightbulb. Powers up. The rubber gasket underneath bottom is aged cracked but has no impact on use or display. You can leave as is or just replace with tabs or cheap felt. No big deal. Also the original cord is in very good shape and measures about ten fee long. Both plugs are in great condition. The rubberized electric cord housing sheath only has age dryness cracks. But, no breaks or exposed wires; and really not the bad at all for nine decades old. Great for display or replace  with a new one for safety or try using the original with zero exposed wiring. The case itself has just a little light wear on the outside from long-term storage but, no dents, holes, etc. See all photos and details as there are No Returns. Great Complete 1930s 8mm Bell & Howell projector.
