RARE Mid Century Picnic Suitcase-Vintage Picnic Hamper-Containing Plates, Tablecloth, Utensils with Melamine Handles, Tea Cups & Tin Storage
Mid century, picnic set for six includes stainless steel utensils with melamine handles,plastic felt back tablecloth, plates and cups, tin storage box & relish jar, neatly placed for an afternoon trip.
While this set is in rough shape, my hopes are that someone will refurbish it back to its glory days.....
Set includes: AS FOUND!
6 each-original forks & knives with red melamine handles
6 each-stainless steel spoons by Ecko, which look to have replaced the original ones, at some point, but are nethertheless vintage too.
3 melamine red teacups
6 melamine plates
1 can/bottle opener
1 nice size plastic checkered tablecloth with felt backing
1 storage tin
1 vintage relish jar with red lid
1 hard shell suitcase
This is a fun set to refurbish and use/or for roadtrips. Also would make a wonderful display piece or photo prop. Has a great retro look!
I have not attempted to clean or repair.
***This looks like to me that someone made this-it wasn't bought but converted.....suitcase appears to be painted...And that's why I think the right person can repair and restore it back to it's original kitschy-self!
